5th mark of missionAt St. Andrew's, our Mission Action Plan (MAP) is based on the Five Marks of Mission. You can read our MAP here. Here are some of the ways in which St. Andrew's is working towards developing this aspect of our mission to become an effective Eco-Church:

1. We have an Environmental Policy that you can read here

2. In January 2017, we decided to work towards a Bronze Award under the A ROCHA scheme. To achieve that, we have drawn up some Environmental Goals for us to work towards over the coming 12 months. You can read our goals here - and our progress will be updated regularly on this page

3. We are committed to using Fairtrade products at church - and promote these amongst our congregation

4. One member of our congregation, Chris Whetstone, now works one day per week in the church office rather than commuting to work. This reduces his carbon footprint - and he is able to advise us on how best to develop our ecological mission activities. You can read Chris' story here

This is an unfolding, developing part of our story as a Mission-Shaped Church. This page will be regularly updated as we make progress.
